Jennifer Marcus is a world champion baton twirler, an internationally-recognized coach/choreographer and a former Cirque Du Soleil performer. She began twirling at 3 years old and quickly fell in love with twirling, dance and gymnastics and loved how they could all be incorporated together.
Jennifer was a member of Team USA for 19 years and won two world championships and 12 International Cup gold medals. Jennifer also became the winningest athlete of all time for the United Stated Twirling Association winning 43 Grand National Championships, including 19 three-baton titles where she was undefeated from 1997-2015. Shortly after retiring from competition, she received a call from Cirque Du Soleil offering her a dream job, a twirling act with their big top touring show, Volta. She went on to perform in more than 550 shows and tour through North America until February 2019. Jennifer's passion is inspiring youth and sharing her sport through teaching and performing. Jennifer attended Florida State University where she received her undergraduate degree in Public Relations and Journalism and a master's degree in Sports Management. She was the feature twirler for the FSU Marching Chiefs, performed for the NBA's Orlando Magic and has traveled to more than 15 countries performing and teaching clinics. She also coaches in South Florida and most recently, Zoom! Jennifer is married to her wonderful husband Jonathan, and they have a beautiful little girl named Zoe and a little boy on the way. |
Ashlie RolfeArtisports Co-Founder
With over thirty one years dedicated to the sport of baton twirling and the arts, Ashlie Rolfe is a national award-winning athlete, a nationally recognized coach and choreographer, and an accomplished dance instructor. Ashlie Rolfe has taught athletes across the state of Florida, United Kingdom, and Puerto Rico.
During her middle and high school years, Ashlie Rolfe was feature twirler and Captain of her color guard building a lifelong passion for spinning and dance. After high school, she auditioned and went off to dance and perform with Walt Disney World Entertainment. With an A.A. in Dance Performance and Choreography she decided to transition into the events and entertainment industry. In 2008, she graduated Florida International University with a B.S. in Hospitality & Event Management. Ashlie Rolfe has produced thousands of events over the past 15 years; from large scale festivals, concerts and music productions, to film shoots, cruise productions and celebrity dinners. Ashlie has since combined her love for producing events with the sport of baton twirling. Working event support for numerous competitions such as producing Twirl Mania International Championship’s Award Ceremonies and operations team for WBTF World Championships 2018, she has experienced all aspects of the sport of baton twirling. With a lifetime of experience under her belt, Ashlie Rolfe continuously advocates for all artistic sports. Striving to cultivate a community of growth and sense of belonging for every individual, Ashlie Rolfe founded Artisports in 2020 to give back to future generations. |
Kaitlyn Crawford
Operations
Kaitlyn Crawford was born and raised in Pembroke Pines, Florida. She began her baton twirling career at the age of 3-years-old under the instruction of Ashlie Rolfe. She competed with her team and as a soloist, traveling around the United States going to many national competitions, such as USTA Nationals, TU Nationals, Twirl Mania International Championships and AAU Junior Olympics.
Kaitlyn Crawford twirled up until freshman year and then decided to join the color guard at Flanagan High School. Going into winter season, she received a spot on the World Guard and was apart of the program her entire high school career. During her junior year she was equipment captain and senior year she had the honor of captain. Throughout her years as a member, the Flanagan World Guard brought home two Scholastic World silver medals and was a finalist all 4 years. She has now graduated Florida International University with a degree in Hospitality Management.
Because of her amazing experience in Flanagan Colorguard, Kaitlyn has since transitioned into a teaching role and continues to instruct the Flanagan Color Guard today. Kaitlyn strives to help others find the passion of spinning just how she did through her many years of spinning.
